The Chamber currently funds Scholarships at Carroll Community College and Frederick Community College. These scholarships are for students in the Trades, Nursing, and Business Programs. The community colleges will handle the scholarships through their Financial Aid Department. We hope with having Scholarship Fund Raisers, we will be able to extend into Howard Community College. The colleges have been very successful in giving our scholarships to local student who deserve the opportunity to continue their education. Over the past years, we have given over $100,000 in scholarships to local youths and adults continuing their education. The Greater Mt. Airy Chamber of Commerce services the 4 counties that make up its members.
